D.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the GIS Online Hosting Subscription from The Sanborn Map Company, Inc., (formerly Applied Geographics, Inc.) in the amount of $3,500.00 for Fiscal Year 2024/25.

 

D.2 A MOTION TO AUTHORIZE the Town Manager to renew Adopt-A-Spot agreements for the following indicated locations: Hazard Avenue, Hazard Trail, Conant Avenue, Newton Avenue, South Ferry Road, Conanicus Road, Crooked Brook South, Pilgrim Avenue, Narragansett Sea Wall.

 

D.3 A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from the Boston Chapter of BMW CCA Rhode Island Group for the annual BMW Show & Shine Car Show at Veterans Memorial Park on Sunday, August 18, 2024, subject to state and local laws.

 

D.4 A MOTION TO APPROVE the 2024 renewal applications for 2 Miscellaneous Licenses subject to state and local regulations.

 

D.5 A MOTION TO APPROVE, RATIFY, AND CONFIRM the costs funded by a reimbursable grant, for the use of the Union Fire District's training facility for the completed Rapid Intervention Training (RIT) for the Fire Department in April and May of 2024, in the amount of $3,200.00.

 

D.6 A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for the purchase of Miscellaneous Water Supplies to the lowest bidders as follows: Bid Category #1 Ball Curb Stops Ti-Sales, Inc., total amount $4,547.00 ; Bid Category #2 Service Box Extensions with Set Screws E.J. Prescott Inc., total amount $456.00; Bid Category #3 Meter Couplings E.J. D.7 A MOTION TO REFER the requests from Brian Van Couyghan and Christine Moore in regard to Plat Q Lot 13 (84 South Pier Road) and from John McGreen on behalf of John Mahoney in regard to Plat Q Lot 101 (vacant parcel South Pier Road) for waiver of the Sewer Policy to the Sewer Policy Committee for review.

 

D.8 A MOTION TO APPROVE the waiver of interest for taxpayers in accordance with ordinance Section 70-90 "Waiver of interest on overdue quarterly property tax and utility payments."

E.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the recommendations of the Sewer Policy Committee and grant a waiver relative to Sewer Policy Section 3.c to Plat N-S Lot 399 (147 Treasure Road) and also grant a waiver relative to Sewer Policy Section 7.h for this property.

 

NEW BUSINESS

F.

FIRE DEPARTMENT

 

F.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of Rescue Task Force Equipment and Specialized Training for the Fire Department from Triage Training Group, in the total amount of $20,870.50.

 

G.

PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

 

G.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the filling of the position of full-time Laborer, and any other subsequent vacancies within the Parks Maintenance Department, due to a retirement.

 

G.2 A MOTION TO APPROVE the updated job description, change in title, and salary increase for the Recreation Manager of the Parks and Recreation Department.

 

G.3 A MOTION TO APPROVE the U.R.I. CREW Middlebridge Lease at 95 Middlebridge Road between the Town of Narragansett and University of Rhode Island at the annual payment of $20,000.00 for five years.

 

G.4 A MOTION TO APPROVE a request from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to host their annual memorial walk in the Town of Narragansett on Saturday, September 28, 2024, beginning at 9am and ending at 1pm, subject to state and local regulations.

 

H.

ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

 

H.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the recommendations of the Sewer Policy Committee and deny a waiver relative to Sewer Policy Sections 2.d, 7.a, and 7.f to Plat H Lot 12 (244 Kingstown Road) proposed subdivision and also deny a waiver relative to Sewer Policy Section 7.h for the proposed subdivision.

 

I.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

 

I.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of one (1) Tintri network storage server from CDWG in the amount of $61,469.50 AND one (1) Dell computer server from Zones LLC in the amount of $9,677.00 for Information Technology, for a total purchase cost of $71,146.00.

 

I.2 A MOTION TO APPROVE the renewal of the SaaS Application Services with Tyler Technologies, Inc. in the amount of $95,306.45 for Fiscal Year 2025.

 

J.

BUILDING AND ZONING DEPARTMENT

 

J.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the contractual agreement between the Town of Narragansett and Anthony D. Wojcik to perform electrical inspections for the Building Official's office from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.

 

J.2 A MOTION TO APPROVE the contractual agreement between the Town of Narragansett and James Harris to perform plumbing and mechanical inspections for the Building Official's office from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.

 

J.3 A MOTION TO APPROVE the contractual agreement between the Town of Narragansett and Russell DesGranges to perform plumbing and mechanical inspections for the Building Official's Office from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.

TOWN MANAGER

 

K.1 A MOTION TO READ, PASS, AND ADOPT as a Second Reading the Appropriation Ordinance for the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year.

TOWN COUNCIL

 

M.1 A MOTION TO INTRODUCE, READ, PASS AND ACCEPT as a first reading an ordinance in amendment of Chapter 14, Article XI of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Narragansett entitled, "Hawkers, Peddlers, Solicitors, Itinerant Vendors and Mobile Food Establishments (MFE)", specifically Division 4 "Mobile Food Establishments (MFE)" Sec. 14-404 "Number of Permits Granted".
